In a visit to a computer store, I was struck by a single product from acer, Acer Ferrari One. Looks like a netbook but if you look at the specifications you will feel confident that it’s not a netbook.

Using dual core processors from AMD, AMD Athlon X2 Neo L310, graphics adapters using ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200, 11.6 “HD display, 320 GB hard drive, 2 GB RAM (4 GB max), the specification is quite promising.

Pros

  • Low base price covers many appealing features
  • Very good design and feature set

Cons

  • Not very powerful for an ultraportable
  • Battery life is lower than a typical netbook’s

Bottom Line

Excellent design and features compensate for lackluster performance in a cool little laptop that will have buyers considering netbook something just a little bit bigger.

Conclusion

Acer Ferrari One does have advantages in design, the average Reviewers gave high scores. Having a pretty good performance. For me, this notebook can be an alternative option if you want to have a small, lightweight notebook, but has greater performance than a netbook.

Minor issues

I read some users who complain about the noise of the GPU cooling fan. It happened in the third week. Some users also doubted beterai life time with respect to the use of AMD processors.
